It’s important to know what’s in your water… On its long journey to your home, water travels through many kilometers of pipes, many of which are old. These old pipes can leave deposits of lead, rust, and other contaminants in the water you drink and use in your home. If chemicals and bacteria are present in your water, your family’s health could be at risk. Start enjoying clean safe water today!

Is my water safe to drink?

Ask your water company if your tap water is safe, and they’ll probably tell you it meets all government safety standards. What they won’t tell you is that many of the studies they’re based on may be out of date, or that there simply are no standards in place. Many dangerous chemicals could be coming out of your tap. The only way to know is with a test. The only way to be conscientious is with pro-active filtering.

Types of water filtration systems:

Reverse Osmosis

The reverse osmosis (RO) filter system uses five steps to process and clean water.

First, it passes through a sediment pre-filter, to catch dust, dirt, and any other tiny particles in the water, including microscopic ones.

The water then goes through a carbon pre-filter that removes unpleasant tastes and smells, like chlorine. The second carbon pre-filter serves the same purpose and refines the taste of the water even more.

After the pre-filtering process, comes the reverse osmosis membrane. It screens out chemicals and dissolved solids like lead and copper. Finally, the polishing filter clarifies the water.

6-Stage Alkaline

6-stage alkaline filtration turns normal tap water into alkaline water. First, it goes through the entire reverse osmosis process to ensure that any contaminants or bad tastes are filtered out.

After the water has been cleaned, it’s sent through a mineral cartridge to add calcium and magnesium ions back in. Those ions give you the health benefits of the minerals without any of the scaling issues.

Whole House Water Filtering System

This option delivers fresh, clean water to your entire home. It includes a 6-stage alkaline filter to ensure your water is always clean, drinkable, and enriched with minerals.

The whole-house option also tackles scaling with a feature called Nucleation Assisted Crystallization (NAC). When water passes through the Filtersorb SP3, the minerals inside crystalize and become too large to cause scaling.

What is Hard Water?

Hard water has a high concentration of dissolved minerals such as magnesium and calcium. This can cause issue in your home such as:

  • Clogged faucets and shower heads
  • White residue buildup on water fixtures and showers
  • Increasingly slow water flow
  • Increased water consumption
  • Cloudy glasses and dishes after washing
  • Mineral deposits in drains
  • Dry skin and hair

Homes that have hard water often have rusty stains and white films on surfaces that are made of porcelain, stainless steel, tile and glass. This buildup can unsightly, be difficult to clean.

Water Softener Solutions for Hard Water

If you have hard water, a water softener system can improve the quality of your water. Instead of focusing on improving drinkability, they provide a solution to reduce scaling and mineral buildup. Soft water keeps your pipes and appliances clean so they’ll last for many years. It also prevents stains and residue  buildup on your plumbing fixtures, dishes and drains.

We install water softeners in homes and businesses in the Costa Blanca area. Get in touch to learn more about these highly beneficial systems.
